Heroic won the "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" tournament Pinnacle Cup Championship. In the Danish final against Astralis, the team won with 2:0 (16:9; 16:11) and takes home a trophy for the first time in over a year.

"It is so deserved that this team finally wins a cup. Even if it's one of the smaller ones," Heroic captain Casper "cadiaN" Møller said in an interview after the game.

Only a few CS:GO top teams among participants

As the only team in the tournament that made it to the playoffs at the last major in Antwerp, Heroic was already one of the favorites. In the group stage, it was only enough for the second place and thus a start in the lower half of the tournament. After that, however, the Danish team did not lose any more series.

In the final, it came to the Danish duel against Astralis. Heroics opponents had been able to win their own group, but did not turn out to be an equal opponent in the final game. After a simple victory on the first card, Heroic then overcame the opponent's half-time lead, and finally managed to win a tournament again for the first time since the ESL Pro League in April 2021.

Corona stops BIG after a good start

BIG was also involved in the tournament, but despite winning the group, he failed twice before the last hurdle to reach the final. After Karim "Krimbo" Moussa dropped out due to a positive corona test and his predecessor Nils "k1to" Grühne stepped in at short notice, the Canadian team lost to both Danish opponents and thus missed the final entry.
