What is a horoscope?

The horoscope or also called the horoscope picture, is the constellation of the planets at a special time in the year. Translated, horoscope means "hourly show". This term comes from the Greek and is composed of hora (hour) and skopein (look). The natal chart depends on the position of the moon, the Sun and the planets at the time of birth. The place of birth is also relevant. Basically, one can only speak of a horoscope if the exact time is mentioned in addition to the date and place. With the help of these three components, the exact horoscope can be calculated.

What does a horoscope say?

Date, place and time of birth determined the character and many qualities of a person. According to the astrologer:no one comes into the world without certain preconceptions. The individually informative horoscope thus already points to a certain, predetermined life. Experts recognize special interests of a person, predisposed talents, as well as points of attack and vices. Also wishes, preferences and inclinations can be found out by an exactly calculated horoscope.

Why do we believe in horoscopes?

If the universe is not exactly as it is currently, due to mechanics, humanity would not exist. That much is certain. And if the Sun changes over time, this will have an enormous impact on the Earth and thus also on us humans. It is therefore logical that the universe and the position of the planets and thus also our body influenced us at the time of birth.

Astrology has long been concerned with the extent to which astronomical events have an impact on earthly situations and events. Especially in China and India, these practices have found application at an early stage. The movement of planets and stars plays a decisive role in this - the macrocosm. The human body, on the other hand, is called a microcosm and shows parallels with the planetary and stellar cosmos. Astrology examines the associated projections of the great cosmos on one's own, physical, astrology.

Since when are horoscopes available?

The geometric circular sections of the 12 signs of the zodiac each cover 30 degrees and were already named in ancient times. The cycle begins with the Aries point, that is, with the zodiac sign Aries. The entire zodiac was completely defined for the first time in the 5th century BC, at that time still with sections of different lengths. Already in the 4th century BC, the exact division arose. In addition, they found out which calculation was necessary to predict the planetary positions.

What is the difference between a horoscope and a sign of the zodiac?

A distinction is made between the common signs of the zodiac, which depict only a part of the characteristics of an individual, and the much more detailed horoscopes, which also take into account the place and time of birth. The frequently printed horoscopes are based exclusively on the signs of the zodiac (the month of birth) and therefore only give an orientation. In order to find out the individual characteristics and preliminary determinations, an additional analysis of the place and time of birth is required.

What constellations and signs of the zodiac are there?

There are 88 constellations in the sky, 12 of which are called the signs of the zodiac. This means that only these 12 are controlled by the Sun and the planets of our solar system. The sun travels through the entire zodiac once in a year. Therefore, the sign of the zodiac also changes about every month. It starts with the zodiac sign Aries. This is followed by Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. The sequence is then repeated.

The stars that form these constellations are usually separated from each other by many light years and are only "together" for us by chance in a certain constellation.

What is an ascendant?

The own ascendant is determined by the exact interface of birthday, place and time. This determines which zodiac sign rises on the eastern horizon at exactly this moment. In addition to the "normal" sign of the zodiac, there is also this one. In some cases, these two are identical, often also different. The ascendant forms the basis for personal calculations by astrologers. It contains all the attachments that are given to a person at birth.

The next one is the exact opposite picture. It describes the expectations one has for relationships and interpersonal relationships.
