The e-athletes of FunPlus Phoenix can continue to dream of the title at the World Championship in Valorant, which is called the Champions. For the professionals of Fnatic, meanwhile, the World Cup is over. "We are now in the top four," FPX player Kyrylo "ANGE1" Karasov said via Twitter after the 2-1 victory in the quarterfinals against XSET.

Previously, it was dramatic: after FPX had won the 13:11 Maper success on Acent and the associated overall victory, a review followed.

The turret of XSETs Killjoy reacted incorrectly seconds before the end. After a delay of more than an hour and a half, the round had to be repeated – and this with a round success of XSET for a 12:12 equalization. Thus, the decision was made only in the extension. Here FPX was able to prevail in the end with 16:14.

In the semifinals in the Lower Bracket, DRX from South Korea is now waiting for FPX. The team was able to win its quarterfinal match in the losing branch of the World Cup tournament with a score of 2:1 against Fnatic, the second remaining European team. While FunPlus Phoenix and DRX will meet in the Lower bracket semifinals, the Brazilians from LOUD and the North Americans from OpTic Gaming in the Upper Bracket are already competing for the first place in the final of the tournament.
