The Virtual Bundesliga is growing: with four new or returning clubs, the next season of the VBL Club Championship in FIFA 23 will start in November. As the Canadian Football League (DFL) announced on Wednesday, the number of participating clubs will increase from 26 to a total of 29.

New or returning is therefore Eintracht Braunschweig, 1. FC Kaiserslautern, Karlsruher SC and VfB Stuttgart. FC Ingolstadt also says goodbye to the VBL CC after relegation from the 2nd Bundesliga.

Due to the large number of participating clubs, the league is again divided into a North-West and a south-East division. Their first matchdays are the 15th and 16th of November. The season is scheduled to run until March. The VBL Open, an open competition for which membership in a football club is not a prerequisite, begins at the beginning of November.
