Getting to Know Yourself I Being Alone vs. Loneliness

The feeling of loneliness can be characterized both positively and negatively. Being alone does not mean loneliness. Conversely, loneliness cannot be described as being alone. The feeling about this is very subjective and depends on many different factors. No outsider can take away your personal perception of this state.

Living in a society with ready-made norms does not always make it easy for many to find happiness in themselves. Satisfaction is often defined by existing relationships. But what are the advantages of being alone? To become aware of one's own feelings and to regard time with oneself as a precious commodity?

Get to know yourself!

Who are you? What are your strengths and weaknesses? Deal with yourself and find out new things about your character and your preferences. Those who know themselves and remain true to themselves achieve much more than could have ever been imagined. Not making thinking and feeling dependent on others is a big part of one's own personality.

Use being alone as a compensation!

Every day, countless purchase recommendations, opinions and demands are pouring in on us. Social media has made this even more intense. In most cases, listening away only works to a limited extent. Even information and comments that you have not paid attention to at all, turn a few rounds in your head. We are trapped in a world full and exuberant world. Taking time for yourself offers peace, balance and relaxation.

Trust you!

Trusting yourself means moving forward in life as an independent person, reflecting on things and building self-confidence. Most of the time of life we spend with ourselves, and yet we often rely on the opinion of others. But what about your own opinion? One's own feelings should never be suppressed. Trusting yourself and being at peace with yourself plays an enormously important role in life. Listen to yourself, keep your trust in you or get it back to you.

Find your way!

Only by being alone do we learn to really deal with our own will and to find our own way. In conversation with our fellow human beings, it can be helpful to be shown different opinions, approaches and ideas or to receive new hints for life through social media - but ultimately everyone has to find their own way. It is about realistically weighing up different aspects, but also listening to your gut feeling and finding your own way to happiness. Being happy does not mean having it easy. Finding happiness means taking the path that YOU think is right and being 100% behind it.
